BET Festival, large circus tent and many events in Palmanova

The BET Festival of Palmanova.

From Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May the BET Festival of Palmanova returns, three days of celebration a large circus tent set up in Piazza Grande. Accompanying the event are some artists from Circo all’Incirca of Udine and numerous cultural associations of Palmanova.

After the success of the previous events, this new edition aims to enhance Palmanova and the realities that distinguish it, offering the young public shows, meetings and artistic workshops accompanied by the Magical Tent of the Circus all’inCirca. In its first edition, strongly inspired by the vocation of the associations involved, the BET Festival saw the involvement of participating groups from Friuli, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Marche with live shows, literary and musical meetings with over 6000 spectators, visitors and participants. In its second edition, it brought for the first time in the centenary history of the city of Palmanova a “chapiteau” in Piazza Grande, offering shows for adults and children never seen before in the starry city.

The program.

The beginning, Friday 17 May at 7pm, will be dedicated to adults with a Burraco tournament organized by the National Artillery Association of Palmanova. At the same time, group dances and a singing performance will be organized by the University of Terza of Palmanova.

The main event of the evening will be the concert of the Palmanova City Band at 9pm inside the circus tent. A musical journey that celebrates band music with arrangements of modern soundtracks and pop music.

Saturday 18 May it will continue from 3pm to 4.30pm with historical training organized by the Gruppo Storico Città di Palmanova and a flag and drum workshop for children and teenagers. The first will be at 4.30pm theatrical show for adults and children that combines circus arts with the fascinating art of the flag organized by the Combusta Revixi – Corinaldo group from the province of Parma. At the end, at 6 pm, the Circo all’inCirca presents itself to the public with an exciting show that connects the different circus disciplines to build a journey inside and outside the Mode, the circus tent.

The afternoon ends with a riot of flags and drums in Piazza Grande. In the evening, at 9pm, the “Astunche” show will be scheduled. A interactive performance between shapes, colors and rhythms: a contagious crescendo of acrobatics, music and joy that guides spectators to explore the imaginative and transformative dimension of art. Saturday ends with a DJ set full of energy and fun to end the evening in the right way.

There Sunday 19 May starts at 12 with the parade and greetings from the flag-wavers and musicians of Palmanova around the square. From 3pm to 6pm the FamigliaAttiva association and Caritas of Palmanova will offer a snack and a fun moment for the little ones. One is presented at 3.30pm and 6pm puppet show for all ages curated by Giosuè Nobile, directed by Pierpaolo Di Giusto. At 4pm Combusta Revixi group – Corinaldo doubles its theater show “TRADIZIONEFUTURO” inside the Tent.

We will continue with the workshop and performances of the Flag Throwers and Musicians of Palmanova. The aperitif time is accompanied by the Jazz Band of the N.Copernico scientific high school of Udine which will invade the starry city with its contagious rhythm. From 7.30pm FOU, the latest show inspired by the madness of Orlando, gentle knight who discovers unrequited love. By the New Faboulouse Circus Copernicus.

The Flag Throwers and Musicians of Palmanova wish goodnight with one fluorescent night showaccompanied by breathtaking soundtracks.

Every evening and at Sunday lunch, it will be possible to go to the KM 0 Convivium. A space where you can stop, find yourself, and spend time observing what is happening around you. All accompanied by delicious dishes selected and prepared with care by the Flag Wavers and Musicians association of Palmanova.
