Don’t panic! No, Iliad is not increasing monthly prices or adding hidden costs, your contract terms will remain the same.
What Iliad recently announced to its customers is the introduction of important changes in response to AGCOM Resolution 307/23/CONSpublished at the beginning of January 2024. This new regulation ofCommunications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) replaces the previous one Resolution 519/15/CONSchanging the rules on contracts between communications service providers and consumers.
From 1 July 2024, telephone operators, including Iliad, will have to offer more detailed information in contractual documents. Iliad has already reassured its users that this change will not lead to price increases or hidden additional costs. Below is the text of the message sent by the company:

We inform you that, in line with the new AGCOM resolution valid for all telephone operators, from 01/07 we will give greater detail to a series of information in your contractual documents. One of the significant innovations introduced concerns the mobile number portability (MNP). According to the new provisions, in the event of termination of the contract, users will have 30 days to request portability of their number to another operator. This restores a possibility previously limited by AGCOM Resolution 86/21/CIR of the November 2022which had introduced tight security measures for the portability process.
This regulatory change reaffirms consumer rights, in line with the provisions of Bersani decree of 2007allowing greater flexibility and safeguarding security procedures.
In addition, Iliad has promised to implement improved tools for monitoring consumption and credit management in the contract, thus making it easier for users to manage their telephone expenses.
This news concerns both mobile and landline customersensuring that both will benefit from clearer and more detailed contractual information starting next year.
