THEThe Giro d’Italia arrives in Romagna, crossing the territories hit by the flood a year ago. Friday 17 May the territory of Lower Romagna and the Imola area of ​​Spazzate Sassatelli they will witness the transition from the 13th stage Riccione-Cento.
The Giro will enter Faenza and then continue to Granarolo and enter Lower Romagna between Cotignola and Bagnacavallo, then touching Lugo with the passage through the centre, Sant’Agata sul Santerno, Massa Lombarda and Conselice. We will then pass through Spazzate Sassatelli, among the areas most affected by the 2023 flood, followed by Portonovo and Sant’Antonio di Medicina, towards Molinella.
The Giro advertising caravan is scheduled to stop at around 1.45pm in via Foro Boario in Lugo and at around 2.30pm in piazza Foresti in Conselice.

Road closures
The transit of the race will lead to the total closure to traffic of the provincial road 8 via Naviglio in Cotignola, of the Sp 253 San Vitale in the municipalities of Bagnacavallo, Lugo, Sant’Agata and Massa Lombarda and of the Sp 610 Selice in the municipality of Conselice, from around 12pm until the end of its passage, estimated at 4pm. Gaps will be created to allow vehicles and means of transport to cross within inhabited centres.
In Cotignola, crossing point of the Sp 8 Naviglio in via Madrara (direction via Salara and vice versa). In Bagnacavallo, crossing point of the Sp 253 San Vitale in via Amendola (direction via Campanelle and vice versa). In Lugo there are three crossing gates on the Sp 253 San Vitale: in viale Europa (from the intersection with via Mentana to the intersection with via di Giù towards viale Europa, and from the intersection with via di Giù to the intersection with via Umbria in both directions); in via Mentana (towards Piazza Garibaldi and vice versa); in via Canaletto (direction via Bonoli and vice versa). In Sant’Agata sul Santerno there are two crossing points on the Sp 253 San Vitale: at the roundabout in via San Martino (direction via Pedergnana Superiore and vice versa); in via Belfiore (direction via Fornace and vice versa). In Massa Lombarda, crossing point of the Sp 253 San Vitale in via Amendola (direction via Cimitero and vice versa). In Conselice, crossing point of the Sp 610 Selice at the Via Bisce roundabout, which can be used in both directions. ù
