Yesterday the police intervened at a commercial establishment located near via Giordano Bruno following a report of a theft.
Once on site the police made contact with the security officer who reported that during his shift of duty he noticed a man, unknown to him, wandering suspiciously through the aisles of the store. He thus decided not to lose sight of the man and noticed that the subject was taking some cases of beer and placing them in the trolley. The subject then went to the automatic checkouts and scanned only two bottles of alcohol that he had taken from the shelves, passed the exit and headed out. Here the security officer asked him to show the purchase receipt and found that the man had not paid for 59 bottles, having scanned only two.
The police proceeded to identify the subject – a Pakistani regular in the territory, class 99 – who in the meantime had been detained by the security officer. Once identified, the man was taken to the offices in via Gervasoni and reported there in a state of freedom for aggravated theft.
