A serious road accident occurred on Sunday evening, when a Smart and a Fantic Motor motorcycle collided head-on and sideways along Via Boito, at number 116. The accident, which occurred around 9.30pm, involved two residents of the province. The motorcyclist, born in 1974 and coming from the province of Milan, suffered serious injuries and was transported under code red to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza. His condition remains critical.
The driver of the Smart, born in 1991 and resident in the province of Monza and Brianza, emerged unharmed from the accident but not without legal consequences. After testing positive for alcohol, he was investigated for the crime of serious road injuries, as provided for by article 590 bis of the penal code.
The vehicles involved were subjected to criminal seizure, with the Public Prosecutor informed to proceed with the investigation. The Local Police, who are currently conducting investigations, are trying to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident to clarify responsibilities.
