Over 400 delegates from all over Italy were present yesterday, Saturday 11 May 2024, at the National Assembly called by the Italian Pro Loco Association Association Network. The Provincial Auditorium of Caserta welcomed the new way of doing proloco surrounded by unprecedented enthusiasm. At the opening of the meeting, greetings from the Regional President Epli Campania Campania Francesco Delle Curti. After the National Anthem, institutional greetings from the Mayor of Caserta and President of Anci Campania Carlo Marino followed by the Provincial Councilor Massimo Russo representing the President of the Province of Caserta Giorgio Magliocca. All the Presidents of the Epli Regional Committees welcomed those present: for the Pro Loco Puglia Committee Oronzo Rifino, EPLI Calabria Giuseppina Ierace, LAZIO PRO LOCO BODY Claudio Mazza, Basilicata Pro Loco Body Rocco Franciosa, Epli Lombardy Ets Walter Pepe, Sicily Pro Loco Institution ets Except Zappalà, ABRUZZO PRO LOCO BODY EPLI Guido Villa, Tuscany Pro Loco Body Vittorio Di Benedetto, Ente Pro Loco Sardinia with the video message from Romano Massa also National Vice President. Moderating the round table entitled “New times for localism in the beautiful country. The Pro Loco are custodians of stories and promoters of ideas” the President of the Pro Loco Nino Marcuccio of Caiazzo Maria Grazia Fiore. The interventions on the topic by the Vice President Uncem – National Union of Mountain Municipalities and Communities were important Vincenzo Luciano, Elena Pera representing the Caserta Volunteer Service Center, Silvia Losco Director of the Universal Civil Service Department Silvia Losco, Daniele Antoniazzi Councilor of the CEV – Center for European Volunteering – European Volunteering Center of Brauxelles. The interventions were concluded by the Tourism Councilor of the Campania Region Felice Casucci and the Honorable Caserta Gerolamo Cangiano who expressed appreciation for the work that the pro loco system carries out daily on the national territory. During the final speech the National President Easter Ciurleo wanted to underline how Ente Pro Loco Italiane has changed the way of doing pro loco through an ongoing professionalization action of the entire system. This, for the National President, is the perfect moment to inform all the delegates and volunteers of the official entry of the organization into the CEV – European Volunteer Center based in Brussels, of the establishment of a new Quality Mark on “Pietà and cult popular” which completes the range of official recognitions to affiliated bodies on the importance of promoting the identity of Italian communities and the official launch of the “Magazine In Italy” which will be available on all Italian newsstands. Important memoranda of understanding were also signed between the Italian pro-local body and the Accademia dei Casali, Plastic Free, FEDAPI. FEDERCOMTUR. The day continued in the afternoon where all the EPLI delegates immersed themselves in an Assembly full of content and ideas to plan a fruitful year of work for the Association Network.
