GPS 2024-2026, here’s how the service score is calculated and in which case it can be doubled

In a few days the Ministerial Ordinance for the update of the GPS 2024-2026 will be published, let’s see how the score for the service performed in a specific competition class is calculated for that same competition class and how it is calculated for other competition classes for which one is entitled to be included.

Calculation of the service score

It is useful to know the teaching service provided on the specific competition class or on support positions to students with disabilities on the specific level:

a) in educational institutions of the national education system, in state institutions and
private schools abroad and in military schools;

b) as part of the right/duty pathways to education referred to in article 1, paragraph 3, of the
legislative decree 15 April 2005, n. 76, relating to the education and training system
professional, provided that, in the case of the aforementioned paths, the relevant service has been carried out for the type of position or courses attributable to the specific competition class;

c) in the forms referred to in paragraph 3 of article 1 of the legislative decree of 25 September 2009, n. 134, converted, with amendments, by law 24 November 2009, n. 167, as well as referred to in paragraph 4-bis of article 5 of the legislative decree of 12 September 2013, n. 104, converted, with
amendments, by law 8 November 2013, n. 128;

d) in the education courses of foreign countries or of foreign schools in Italy,
recognized by the respective countries, attributable to the specificity of the post or class
competition.
2 points are awarded for each month or fraction of at least 16 days. Up to a maximum, for each school year, of 12 points.
The service provided pursuant to article 11, paragraph 14, of law 3 May 1999, n. 124, is
however evaluated.

The calculation of the score for the same service expressed in the previous points a), b), c) and d) in another competition class or in another position at another level of education it is calculated at 50% compared to the calculation of the specific competition class or support service for that level of education.

It is worth underlining that the secondary school support service is calculated in full also in all competition classes of the same level of education. This means that if in a school year you reach 12 points in ADSS, even in all the competitive classes of the secondary school in which you are placed, you will have calculated 12 points.

Doubling of the score for some services

Some types of service, due to the inconvenience of the location, are assessed double, therefore 4 points for each single month or fraction of 16 days, up to a maximum of 24 points. The service provided by the school year 2003/04 school year 2006/07 in multi-class schools in mountain municipalities, pursuant to law 1 March 1957, n. 90, as well in schools on the smaller islands and in penitentiary institutions it is valued double.
