ROME – Elitaliana has inaugurated a new and important project to combat summer fires in Italy.

On Thursday 9 May the company hosted the visit of the Italian Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies Nello Musumeci and the Minister of the Interior of Slovakia Matúš Šutaj Eštok.

The two figures participated with interest in the delivery of the first UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, which arrived following an agreement signed with the companies Vittoria Airways and Air Services Slovakia.

The protocol is aimed at providing the town with 10 vehicles converted for firefighting use, two of which will arrive by the summer. These vehicles can transport up to 4 thousand liters of water.

While waiting for the other, the first arrived at the “Fonte di Papa” base last afternoon where waiting for him were, among others, the two ministers, the commander Alessandro Giulivi, the president of ENAC Pierluigi Di Palma and the deputy director of ENAC Fabio Nicolai.

This new agreement – said Minister Musumeci – It will allow us to be able to satisfy many needs at a regional and national level. I am absolutely convinced that the project will be successful and will represent the beginning of an important collaboration”.
