Attacked and savagely beaten for no reason. The seventeen-year-old reported, trying to explain and justify, that she went into a rage because the girl was looking, perhaps even insistently, at her boyfriend. In reality, however, there is a video – acquired by a video surveillance system – which categorically denies what the seventeen-year-old reported. From the images we can clearly see that the thirteen-year-old, who was walking with two girls her age, was chased and attacked for no reason. And that there were no boys or groups where the thirteen-year-olds were.
A crazy attack
The thirteen-year-old from Campobello di Licata was kicked and punched and ended up, injured, in the emergency room of the Barone Lombardo hospital in Canicattì. A crazy attack occurred last April 11th, right in Campobello di Licata. An attack which, however, now, after frenetic investigative activity by the policemen of the Canicattì police station, has led to the identification – and report to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Palermo juvenile court – of the alleged perpetrator.
The accused is 17 years old. And the hypothesis of the crime contested by the policemen of the Canicattì police station and by the prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office for minors – is personal injury. It is not the first time that a young Campobello girl has been attacked and injured.

The new episode of violence
Last April 11th, a Thursday, should have been an evening like many others. Three little girls were on the street in the center of Campobello di Licata. Suddenly a passing white car slowed down and a young woman got out of the passenger compartment and chased the three very young people. The one who got the worst of it, attacked with kicks and punches, was the thirteen-year-old who, injured, was taken to the emergency room of the Canicattì hospital. And the police from the city police station arrived at “Baron Lombardo”, as always happens in this type of case.
A complaint, against unknown persons, was formalized in the following hours by the victim’s parents – represented by the lawyer Luigi Troja – at the Campobello di Licata carabinieri station.
All-round investigations
That attack suffered by such a young girl could not help but shock and worry the policemen who, often, are also parents. The investigative activity was naturally started and carried forward, in the utmost confidentiality. And now, less than a month after the episode of violence, the agents of the Canicattì police station have managed to identify and report the seventeen-year-old, apparently already known to the police, who will have to answer for the hypothesis of the crime of injury personal. To “frame” the seventeen year old who, as mentioned, tried to justify herself by talking about “too many looks”, there is a video which, with clear and incontrovertible images, shows how the facts actually happened. No extra glances. The three girls didn’t even notice who was in that passing small car. The attention of the three very young people from Campobello was only attracted by the fact that the car suddenly stopped moving and that a young woman got out of the passenger compartment and chased them, in a crazy manner. The one who got the worst of it, attacked in fact, was the thirteen-year-old who hesitated a few more seconds to escape and who was caught and savagely beaten, for no reason.
Fortunately, the thirteen-year-old who was injured at the time was not found to be in serious condition. The prognosis was diagnosed in just a few days by the doctors who subjected the “Baron Lombardo” to all the tests deemed necessary.
