They continue to oscillate i fuel prices in Italy: slight decreases have been recorded for diesel, while petrol, on the contrary, is increasing according to data provided by Staffetta Quotidiana.

On the eve of May 1st, Labor Day, there was a decline of prices at a national level which had given rise to hope for the future: immediately afterwards, however, the situation changed rapidly and it only took a few days to witness the new increases.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, at the moment the average price of gas self service in our country stands at 1.917 euros per litre, while the cost of diesel is 1.787 euros per litre.

Petrol and diesel: self-service and self-service prices

In general, petrol prices are rising, unlike diesel prices which are experiencing a slight decline after months of continuous increases. Analyzing the regional media, self-service petrol is at 1,910 euros per litre, while at the white pumps it drops to 1,904 euros per litre. All other music for the service: 2.051 euros per liter on average, 2.091 euros per liter the cost of the companies and 1.970 euros per liter at the white pumps.

As mentioned the price of diesel suffered a slight decline in self-service after the Easter surge: 1.772 euros per liter as a regional average, 1.775 euros per liter for companies and 1.765 euros per liter for white pumps. Higher costs for the service: at the companies it reached 1.956 euros per litre, while at the white pumps it reached 1.832 euros per litre.

LPG, LNG and methane: the new prices

The prices of LPG, LNG and methane also fluctuate: the LPG served reached 0.714 euros per litre, to companies 0.724 euros per liter and to white pumps 0.703 euros per litre. The prices of LNGhowever, are the following: 1.167 euros per kilo at the company distributors and 1.176 euros per kilo at the white pumps.

Changes in prices of methane, as reported by Staffetta Quotidiana, are the following: served 1,321 euros per kilo, one thousandth more than the previous survey; 1.339 per kilo at the pumps of the distribution companies and 1.306 euros per kilo at the white pumps.

Fuel prices on the motorway

There are also significant changes at the distributors that are present on the Italian highways, where the experimentation of autonomous driving is continuing: both petrol and diesel have exceeded the threshold of 2 euros per liter in the served version. Petrol, for example, costs 2,251 euros per liter on the motorway in served mode and 1,992 euros per liter in self-service mode.

Anyone who has to refuel their car at service stations located on sections of the national motorway network will pay more than 2 euros per liter for LPG served (2,144 euros to be exact) and 1,875 euros per liter in self-service mode. The price of methane has reached 1.473 euros per kilo, while the LNG average is 1.199 euros per kilo.
