The new 2024 Operational Plan for Live Entertainment in Lazio defines, on the basis of available resources, the live entertainment interventions to be implemented, allocating the resources dedicated to the sector according to the general lines indicated in the three-year guidance document 2022-2024.
Well 2,500 million of the Operational Plan are intended for live entertainment productions, theater and dance production centers, theatrical, musical, dance but also circus and street theater festivals and events; to regional circuits, orchestras and musical ensembles, to projects to encourage young people’s access to live entertainment in collaboration with educational institutions; musical, theatrical and dance education and training; to puppet theater and live entertainment initiatives aimed at children and childhood.
In 2024 the ten-year experience of the Cultural workshops and social theater workshops: a total support of 300 thousand euros is foreseen for two-year projects which concern the activation and management of centers for the promotion of live entertainment and social theater to prevent and alleviate discomfort in places where this problem exists.
And again, the Region will continue its commitment in favor of Artistic residencies (residences for artists in the territories and centers of residence), as part of the three-year agreement with the Ministry of Culture, allocating 150 thousand euros to promote the inclusion of artists in the overall entertainment system, resources that are added to those of the MiC .
Furthermore, 150 thousand euros will be invested for the musical bandsi choirsthe choreutics and the amateur theatre and another 100 thousand euros for the folklore festival in Lazio.
Among the new features, the Plan provides – with a total allocation of 150 thousand euros – the publication of the first notice for the support of musical training and education projects, to be carried out in the 2024-2025 year, intended for subjects enrolled in the Regional list of Schools of Music Education, with the aim of enhancing musical teaching and practice in the regional territory in the name of inclusion. While 200 thousand euros will go to support opera music in educational institutions.
Furthermore, in view of the Jubilee year, an allocation of 750 thousand euros is expected to create a Festival of Sacred Music, which has a wide range of artistic expressions linked to the sacred, ranging from ancient liturgical music to contemporary avant-gardes.
To promote the cultural heritage of the Region, they are available for the 2024 notice 1,000,000.00 of Euro. To pearl funds Enhancement of Cultural Heritage through Live Entertainment Municipalities and public bodies, as well as associations operating in the sector for the implementation of projects in specific places of culture, can access. To these funds are added 350 thousand euros for the valorization of regionally owned spaces of historical value, managed by LazioCrea; and 200 thousand euros for the valorisation of historical-cultural heritage symbols in educational institutions.
Furthermore, in the Plan, 250 thousand euros are allocated to live entertainment activities within the multidisciplinary cultural hub “Rossellini Space” owned by the Lazio Region.
They will finally add up to support the sector in 2024 over 6.5 million of euros of transfers intended for important Foundations of state and regional significance e Local associationsparticipated by the Lazio Region: le Foundations of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Capitale, the Teatro di Roma Foundation, the Musica per Roma and RomaEuropa Arte e Cultura Foundations and ATCL – Theater Association of the Municipalities of Lazio, a regional multidisciplinary circuit, involving 25 Municipalities and involves around 60 theaters and spaces dedicated to live entertainment in the regional territory.
