The meeting between Abodi and the leaders of the world of football concluded: the decree will be rewritten

The meeting between Minister Andrea Abodi and the leaders of the world of football ended a short while ago, which lasted about two hours, in which the decree law on the possible establishment of an agency for the economic and financial control of sports clubs was discussed. According to the first rumors reported by Sky Sportsthe decision reached is that a new draft of the decree law will be rewrittenafter the first one presented which had not convinced the world of Italian sport at all.

Possible innovations.
From the meeting Andrea Abodi, minister of sport and youth, however reiterated that the decree will exist and that we will move forward. However, there is an element of novelty: the proposed agency may not be a government body but an independent authority. The president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, however, reiterated his idea, according to which COVISOC must remain in control of these issues. Present at the meeting were the president of CONI Giovanni Malagò, the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina, the three presidents of Lega A, B, C and D, Lorenzo Casini, Mauro Balata, Matteo Marani and Giancarlo Abete, as well as the basketball managers and former faces of the world of football Gianni Petrucci and Umberto Gandini.

A statement awaited.
However, a note from Minister Abodi himself is expected soon, which will tell us more about what was said in today’s meeting in Rome in the ministry’s offices.
