The Bergamo Prosecutor’s Office has entered the grandmother of the little girl who died last May 7th in an accident in Clusone (Bergamo) in the register of suspects. The woman was driving the car which skidded and caused the head-on collision.
She is under investigation for injuries and manslaughter grandmother of deceased 8 year old girl last Tuesday 7 May following a road accident that occurred between Clusone and Rovetta (in the province of Bergamo). According to what emerged from the first findings of the Carabinieri, it would have been her lose control of the car and, by invading the oncoming lane, causing a head-on collision with another car. In the impact the little girl lost her life, while the little brother who was sitting next to her had surgery on his femur.
The dynamics of the accident
The investigations into the accident were entrusted to the Carabinieri of the Clusone Company, coordinated by the Bergamo prosecutor Raffaella Latorraca that he decided to do not arrange an autopsy on the child’s body. There are no doubts, in fact, about the causes of the little girl’s death, while some details relating to the dynamics are still to be verified.
The little girl was sitting on the back seats of the Seat Ibiza driven by the grandmother together with her little brother. It is not yet clear whether they were in the car seat. Furthermore, one must understand why the woman lost control of the car and ended up with invading the oncoming lane. The prosecutor has already scheduled further investigations, in which the grandmother will be able to participate investigated for injuries and manslaughter.

The grandmother under investigation is currently hospitalized. Her condition is serious and the prognosis reserved. The couple involved in the accident, however, suffered minor injuries.
