There is room to innovate also from an anti-waste perspective, with an expansion of the range of vegetable oil sprays

Compagnia Alimentare Italiana has not limited itself to designing products to be produced in plants powered entirely by renewable and low-impact sources, but has always linked their sustainability to a complex of factors that go beyond the characteristics of biodegradability and compostability, involving the entire supply chain of production and consumption, with the aim of contributing to the regeneration of territories and ecosystems. “And numerous projects are being studied which will see us committed to the protection and prosperity of the environment in 2024” he underlines Adriano Mantuageneral manager.

The most striking example is the technological innovation of the Sprayleggero system. Because the latest Italian and Spanish olive oil campaigns have proven terrible in terms of production shortages. The response to this decrease is distressed shelves and staggering prices. “Our answer is inoil in spray, which has already been on the market since 2012: a 250 ml bottle corresponds to 3 1 liter bottles of glass product. With our system only the amount of oil you need is used, avoiding unnecessary waste. Not to mention the drastic reduction in CO2 resulting from the transport of a recycled aluminum can (and infinitely recyclable) compared to a glass bottle: 6 full bottles weigh as much as a full glass bottle”.
