Last Sunday, the sporting event “A rugby player’s day” took place in the Campo Comunale D’Onghia location in Castellaneta Marina.
The event included in the Federal activities, organized under the aegis of Taranto Rugby Generations, was attended by athletes from the clubs of Taranto, Brindisi and Trepuzzi as well as the neophyte training of the Istituto Comprensivo Surico of Castellaneta. At the tournament, reserved for the under 12 and under 14 categories, there was no shortage of excitement, but above all fun.
Great satisfaction for educators in seeing the continuous growth of their budding rugby players, respecting the characteristic values of the oval ball. The very young shoots showed a bright future, they played with great pride and were competitive both in team play and in individual play. The spectators who witnessed the match, despite the day being very hot for the period, were able to admire a high rate of play and an incessant pace from the avid novices.
At the end of this beautiful day of sport, as usual, we proceeded with a memorable third half which received unanimous approval. Thanking those present, the president of Taranto Rugby Generatios praised “all” the athletes for their technique, tenacity and will.
