“For almost a month now, we family members of the victims of the Bargi disaster have found ourselves experiencing situations that no one had foreseen and that many of us had never experienced first-hand. We have in mind so many questions to which we cannot find answers“. As Don Leonardo Scandellari, Adriano’s brotherone of seven victims of the accident at work at the Bargi power plant on the artificial lake of Suviana, on the Bolognese Apennines. A delegation of relatives was present. “The death of our loved ones has put us face to face with unexpected questions: some require certain, precise and rapid decisions. It is precisely what we struggle to give these days”, underlined Don Leonardo. “We would like more time to reflect, internalize and also to remember in dialogue or in silence. But often this time doesn’t exist. Also the words come out with difficulty, even when friends ask us something. We have lost brothers, spouses, fathers, children. Friends,” she added. “I try to interpret the feelings of all the families of the seven victims of the accident. Thanks first of all to the many people who on the day of the disaster committed themselves without interruption to the rescue of injured or missing people. And also in caring for us family members. The participation and affection with which they rallied around us they are making the effort to cope with what happened a little less hard. We were comforted. In this way we are given trust above all by those who are demonstrating to us in practice their firm intention not to leave our families alone”, she concluded.
