On Friday at 10.30 in the square in front of the town hall of Sirignano, in the presence of the Mayor Antonio Colucci and the entire municipal council, the honorary citizenship to the prefect of Perugia Armando Gradone, originally from Sirignano. The prefect will also be awarded the prestigious “Golden Heart” award During the ceremony which will see the presence of civil, military and religious authorities, further recognition will be given to voluntary and civil society associations that have particularly distinguished themselves for their professional activity and in the field of social and cultural volunteering. The annual award aims to pay tribute to those personalities who over time have made a significant commitment to social and humanitarian initiatives. This year the “Golden Heart” was attributed to the following people and associations: to the Municipality of Sirignano in the person of the Mayor Antonio Colucci, to the Consulate of Benin in Naples in the person of the consul Giuseppe Gambardella, to the contact person for the “Communication Network” of the INPS of the Metropolitan Coordination Directorate of Naples, as well as journalist, Angelo Covino, to the president ofDon Tonino Bello association of Avellino, Giuseppe D’Argenio; to the National Carabinieri Association Nusco section, to the National Carabinieri Association of Ospedaletto d’Alpinolo formerly Montefredane lieutenant CS Cav. Michele Fragnito; to the president of the Italian Policemen’s Association, Camerota section, Cav. Pio Del Duca; to the president of the Italian Environmental Guards Association of the Campania Region Concetta Galotto; to the president of the “OMSTJ” Knights’ Association Laura Petrizzi; to the president of the Association of the Knights of St. George in Carinthia Antonio Spiezia; to the president of the Civil Protection Volunteer Association “Jaguar”, Marialina La Marca and finally to the Associations of the Order of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem “OSJ Malta” and the Knights of the Holy Grail of the Pelican Pirate. The Award established by the Academy of International Cultures and Sciences in collaboration with the Association of the Poor Knights of Christ of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux with the vicar brother Massimo Maria Civale, it also allows us to know the stories and faces of people who, in total anonymity, every day assist, help and rescue the last, the forgotten, the elderly, the suffering and the disabled.
