He had waited so long for that day which was supposed to represent the beginning of a new adventure. Instead, on May 7th for Daniela Cardillo he transformed on the last day of life. The 53-year-old woman was hit by sudden illness and died on shift Work. It was her first day in a boutique in Turin, where she had been hired as a sales assistant after a prolonged period of unemployment.
The illness in the shop
Daniela, originally from Bari, had started working on Tuesday in a shop in via Chiesa della Salute in the Borgo Vittoria district of Turin, reports Repubblica. What stopped her was her illness, which reached her and weakened her in a few moments. An ambulance from the Green Cross of Villastellone and police cars arrived on site. The doctors and nurses of 118 began resuscitation maneuvers which lasted several minutes, in front of their colleagues and customers, who were astonished.

«She leaned on the counter, but she couldn’t breathe – Magnani reconstructs – her colleagues loosened her bra thinking that the elastic was bothering her, they tried to help her recover, until at 9.35 she collapsed on the floor: was foaming at the mouth, they immediately called for help.”
«We are shocked – continues Magnani – Daniela was a good, cheerful, reliable person. She knew we were looking for a sales assistant and she had strongly wanted that job. Luckily she didn’t have children, we had to give the bad news to her partner, her brother. Then we closed due to mourning.”
