Meeting with Massimo Proverbio, Head of Chief Data, AI and Technology Officer

The meeting took place yesterday with Massimo ProverbHead of the Chief Data, AI and Technology Officer Governance Area.

The Dr. Proverb presented i results achieved and projects in the pipeline, according to guidelines and operational activities which provide:

  • migration to cloud as a tool to ensure flexibility, cost reduction and resilience,
  • creation of one new digital platform and new channels for the Group, in partnership with ThoughtMachine,
  • data e artificial intelligence as key elements to get to know customers better, reduce costs and risks,
  • further strengthening of‘ICT enabling Agile methodologies of collaboration with the business.
  • improvement of safety information technology also in light of the growing geopolitical risks.

A significant part of the illustration was dedicated to the development of the platform Isytech which was created and tested on Isybank will be progressively extended to the entire Group, allowing for simplification and speeding up of operations even with traditional customers.

Furthermore, some space was dedicated to the development ofAI and its applications in the companythrough a process that is at the same time one of strong expansion and management marked by caution based on specific elements of “human” intervention and supervision.

Obviously a large part of the meeting was dedicated to issues that directly affect C-Daito colleagues. In this regard, the recruitment plan carried out and the new corporate methods of identifying and enhancing professionalism, in particular on the following three projects:

  • Falcon (Expected to hire approximately 1,800 people with differentiated skills and adequate seniority levels (69% junior and 31% expert and senior);
  • New GT (Differentiation of protection by application area facilitated by the insourcing of skills and valorisation of technical skills);
  • Matrix (Pay attention to Tech profiles and alignment with the best market practices of the Tech Companies).

The meeting was an opportunity to reiterate directly to Dr. Proverbio, as well as at the highest levels of Industrial Relations present at the meeting, the union requests regarding:

  • employment guarantees which must not be called into question by the development of new technologies,
  • distribution throughout the territory national team of new hires,
  • reasonable development based on a correct balance between flexibility needs and those of professional development in the use of SW and other forms of flexibility,
  • start of a serious and productive discussion for the definition of contractualized Roles and Paths who recognize the transparency and verifiability of their colleagues professional development and related certain economic rewards,
  • attention on the part of their managers in the assignment and, subsequently, of correct management of professional titling. This important item of the professional profile has taken the place of “seniority” in all its previous functions. It is a “certificate” of the “level of professionalism performed” and “enhances the competence expressed regardless of the profession performed” in which every single colleague must reflect himself.

More generally, the profound changes that had already been announced in previous meetings and which see further and significant expansions and accelerations make the constant involvement of workers’ representatives indispensable and the centrality of negotiation to govern the various phases. As always, the objective we set ourselves is not only to contain the repercussions of such a pervasive and tumultuous innovation, but also to ensure recognition of the expectations, professionalism and commitment of colleagues.
