The governor of Liguria Giovanni Toti arrested for corruption

AGI – The soldiers of the Provincial Command of the Genoa financial police are implementing an order for the application of personal and real precautionary measures (coercive and interdictory) issued today by the investigating judge of the Court of Genoa, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office filed on 27 December last against the president of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti, Paolo Emilio Signorini, former president of the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea, the entrepreneurs Aldo and Roberto Spinelli, the entrepreneur Mauro Vianello, the board of directors of Esselunga, Francesco Moncada; and Matteo Cozzani, chief of staff of the President of the Region.
The other recipients of the ordinance are Arturo Angelo Testa and Italo Maurizio Testa, and Venanzio Maurici. Signorini, under investigation for corruption in the exercise of his role and for acts contrary to his official duties, is the recipient of a measure of precautionary custody in prison, while Toti was placed under house arrest for the same crimes.
