Shells and starfish, seahorses and sea urchin shells embroidered in the Statuario white marble It is in the fine Portoro black with such delicacy and meticulousness as to make Mother Nature’s work envious: it is “Submarine Encounters”the artist’s first solo sculpture exhibition Davide Cancogniopen until May 12th in the Sala delle Grascein via Sant’Agostino in Pietrasanta.

There are around ten works proposed by Cancogni, born in the “Little Athens” of Versilia and raised in one of the most renowned workshops in the area, the Study Semwhere he learned and developed the marble processing technique and has been collaborating for over twenty years with world-famous artists. His collection combines the love forart to that for the seain a meeting of natural forms and sculptural techniques that the author describes with a thought: “Heart, mind and hands”.

The exhibition, inaugurated by the mayor and councilor for culture Alberto Stefano Giovannetti, is open everyday with free entry on time 10.30-12.30 And 4.30pm-7.30pm; Friday and Saturday also there eveningfrom 9.30pm to 11.30pm.
