The motorbike, according to what has been ascertained so far, had recently been given to the 16-year-old and was without insurance. The boy driving is still hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Parini hospital in Aosta. The investigations are entrusted to the carabinieri of the local company who will send an initial report to the Turin minors’ prosecutor’s office.

Among the hypotheses of crime being examined by those conducting the investigations, there is also that of road homicide. Other vehicles were involved in the accident and the events occurred in the early afternoon of yesterday on the town’s hill, in the Babelon area, on the municipal road that leads to the Salassi road.

After the call to the single rescue centre, the air ambulance intervened with the 118 doctor and the technicians of the Aosta Valley Alpine Rescue. Further information on the road accident will be released as the investigations continue, which for the moment are only at the beginning.

The 16-year-old is still hospitalized in the hospital’s intensive care unit and his condition appeared quite serious in the first hours after admission. The doctors maintain maximum confidentiality and continue to keep the teenager under close observation.
