Reggio Emilia Double accident around midnight last Saturday in via Tassoni, Capriolo: three ambulances and a medical vehicle were on site, as well as local police and firefighters. A car and two scooters were involved: a 9-year-old boy was admitted to intensive care and a 16-year-old boy to Orthopedics at Santa Maria Nuova. A 48-year-old was also injured.
The dynamics of the double accident are complex and are still being investigated by the local police officers who intervened on the scene.
The first accident occurred at midnight, in the Capriolo area, near the petrol station and the winery, when a car collided with a scooter driven by a 16-year-old. The young man who fared the worst was a fractured femur in his fall on the asphalt.
In addition to the driver of the car involved in the collision, a family who was stopped at the petrol station to fill up with petrol and witnessed the accident immediately rushed to help the boy.
And just as the first aid was underway, a second accident occurred. A 9-year-old boy, who had approached the motorcyclist with his parents, was hit by pieces of the scooter on the ground and was in turn hit by a large-displacement motorbike that arrived at that moment.
Due to a tragic fatality, the child unfortunately suffered several fractures to his leg as well as facial trauma and, transported by ambulance to Santa Maria, was admitted to intensive care and the prognosis is reserved. A 48-year-old man, riding the scooter that caused the second accident, was also taken to the Santa Maria emergency room but his condition is not serious.
