Mayor Adezio on the situation of the golf club

“I cannot participate in a confrontation to which I was not invited.” The mayor of Miglianico, Fabio Adezio denies participation in the public meeting requested by the mayoral candidate Federico Anzellotti.

“I am speechless in the face of what I have read in various press outlets which publish the news of a public confrontation between me and a private citizen, who intends to run for mayor, but who is not yet formally one, without anyone telling me invited neither officially nor unofficially.

Education in the first place – explained the mayor – and institutional courtesy would like a discussion to be agreed upon, both in terms of the topic and above all in terms of methods, date, time and place: all this has not been done, but it has been thought only to create a “case” to be used in a propaganda manner in the upcoming electoral campaign which, of course, has not yet officially begun. The mayor responds to the citizens, not to individual private citizens and on the topic that we want to discuss I have already fully explained both my personal position and what the Municipality has done and can do to resolve a situation in which the administration has no responsibility neither direct nor indirect and in which, contrary to what is being made to believe, he is the injured party, as are the workers involved.

I believe that whoever wants to run for mayor must first of all have respect for the institutions and for those who represent them: whoever wants respect must give respect. I have never backed down from any public debate, in fact I am the first to seek discussion and dialogue, but to dialogue and discuss it takes two: therefore, I invite all those who wish to do so to call me directly to agree on a date, place, time and method of performance”.
