Montecchio The little girl died at just 10 years old Michela Nunziata. A drama that left the country speechless. Late on Thursday afternoon, the little girl began to feel very unwell. Hence her call to 118 and the request for help from her mother Tiziana Fiore. In the central Via Franchini, where the family lives, the Orange Cross ambulance, the Montecchio ambulance and the Reggio Emilia ambulance arrived. The Parma air ambulance was also alerted.

A task force mobilized for the little girl who, when the medical staff arrived, was already presenting very serious symptoms. In the space of a few seconds – despite the presence of the doctors – the situation became dramatic: the little girl’s heart stopped beating.

The three teams of rescuers they performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation with various maneuvers lasting a long time: cardiac massage, defibrillation, oxygen and ventilation. After repeated attempts, however, little Michela’s heart still did not start beating again.

The doctors decided, however, to quickly transport the little girl to the Maggiore hospital in Parma, in intensive care, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for the little girl.

Michela died like this at just ten years old, amidst the tears of her mother Tiziana and father Angelo Nunziata.

The Reggio Emilia local health authority now wants to see clearly and has ordered an autopsy to precisely determine the causes of the sudden death.

Yesterday, for the whole day, in the apartment on the first floor of Via Franchini in Montecchio, which overlooks the church of San Donnino, the little girl’s parents remained closed in their grief.

The news of little Michela’s death quickly spread around the country and it shocked the entire community. Condolence and closeness were expressed by citizens, colleagues, friends and relatives, who rallied around the little girl’s family.

Aunt Patrizia yesterday morning he wrote on Facebook: «Another angel flew to heaven too soon. Now you are in the arms of your grandfather, who will take care of you. Rest in peace our little one, you will always be in our hearts. Hi Michela, your aunts and cousins ​​will always love you.”

In the morning too the mayor Fausto Torelli expressed condolences. «A very strong pain for the whole community – wrote the mayor of Montecchio – who at this moment is close to the family. Our thoughts and heartfelt embraces go to the two parents (Angelo and Tiziana) and all the family members.”
