Rimini, 4 May 2024 – Professor aged only 46 found dead at home. They were the ones who made the macabre discovery policemenalerted by some friends and neighbors of Antonio Bonifati, Calabrian teacher (he was from Castrovillari) by letters, history, art, who had been living and working in Rimini for several years. The man was found lifeless on Tuesday afternoon in his apartment in via XX Settembre. The alarm was triggered after Bonifati failed to show up for an appointment, which is unusual for someone like him. The neighbors had seen him the day before and so, fearing something serious had happened to him, given his recent health problems, they had called the police. Unfortunately, the suspicions turned out to be true. A few days ago Bonifati had been in the emergency room, after experiencing problems. But the teacher – according to what some colleagues told the police – he had refused hospitalization and signed for voluntary resignation, to go back home. She suffered from various pathologies Antonio Bonifati, because of his obesity. The Prosecutor’s Office has already closed the case: his death was natural, due to physical problems.
Thursday evening many colleagues and students of the Einaudi Molari institute of Rimini and Santarcangelo, where Bonifati had been working for some time (he taught in the evenings and was a substitute for a few hours during the day) they met at the church of San Girolamo for a prayer vigil. Together with them there were also teachers and children from the Marco Polo institute, where Bonifati had taught for years. “He was a special teacher, jovial and helpful with everyone, much loved by the students – the principal of Einaudi Molari Daniela Massimiliani remembers him – He leaves a great void in our school”. Even at Marco Polo they wanted to remember the professor: “His smile and his kind ways will remain alive forever “. I funerals of Bonifati will be celebrated this afternoon in Castrovillari.
