Fano (Pesaro and Urbino) Friday 3 May 2024 – Fear for a elderly driving a car, which after an accident appeared to be on fire.

Lunch time hadn’t yet arrived this morning, when at the crossroads of via Papiria with Località Madonna Ponte – or rather on the little bridge behind the Saipem – the Peugeot 206 driven by a 81 year old man coming out of industrial area of Bellocchi crashed violently into a Jeep driven by a 50-year-old man who at that moment was traveling along Via Papiria heading upstream.
The 118 health workers immediately intervened on the spot due to the injuries (apparently not serious sustained by the 81-year-old, who was transported to the emergency room for the necessary investigations) and the Fano firefighters since, as mentioned, following the impact the airbags but the smoke that came out raised doubts among the first responders that a fire had started. The local police also intervened to investigate the case.
