Apple is working on a solution
For its part, Apple admitted that it is aware of the problem that prevents some alarms from ringing as expected and announced that it is already working on a fix. The defect seems to be linked to the “Attention Aware” introduced with iOS 17, which reduces alert sounds if it detects the user is looking at the device.
