Three Italian clubs in the Women’s Champions 2024-25: what level of difficulty for Roma, Juventus and Fiorentina? | Calciopress

There UWCL access list 2024-25 is determined by the coefficients of the UEFA women’s federations at the end of the 2023-24 season.

  • In the 2024-25 season, Italy – which is part of the federations that occupy the first six positions in the ranking – will have three women’s teams registered (Rome, Juventus And Florentine).
  • The ten federations that follow in the ranking will have two. For all other federations, only one team will be allowed access.
  • The definitive access list will only be established in June, when both the definitive number of clubs registered for the competition and the club that will become title holders will be known.

The focus of the tournament is the GROUP PHASE to 16 teams, which includes four groups made up of four teams that compete at home and away between October and December.

  • Four teams will qualify directly for the group stage: The title holder and championship winners of the three highest-ranked associations (France, Germany and Spain) will start from this stage. If the champions of France, Germany or Spain were already qualified as winners of the competition then the fourth placed nation, which is currently England, would automatically receive a place for their national champions. The top two in each group will go to the direct elimination phase which will be played starting in March. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played with home and away matches, while the final will be a single match.
  • The 12 remaining places will be assigned through two Forcourses (7 through the Champions path and 5 through the path Place).

There ROME (Italian champion) will take part in the Champions path (which assigns 7 places).

There JUVENTUS (second place) and the FLORENTINA (third place) will take part in the Placed route (which assigns 5 places), with different levels of difficulty in relation to the placement in the Championship.
