Moscati, meeting on immuno-allergological diagnostics

A morning of study and in-depth analysis on allergy molecular diagnostics, an advanced approach that has revolutionized the field of allergology, allowing for a more accurate and personalized diagnosis.

At the Bel Sito Hotel in Manocalzati (Av), Domenico Gargano, head of the Allergology and Clinical Immunology operational unit of the San Giuseppe Moscati hospital in Avellino, organized a meeting-debate on the topic, entitled “Immune-allergological diagnostics in clinical practice”. The event, which will start at 9 am the day after tomorrow, Saturday 4 May, will open with greetings from the General Director of the Moscati Company, Renato Pizzuti, and will be divided into three sessions, during which various related aspects will be explored in depth to allergy molecular diagnostics.

«Molecular allergology allows us to identify the specific molecular components of allergenic substances – explains Gargano -. In practice, while traditional allergology is based on the identification of allergies through skin and serological tests, molecular allergology identifies the single molecule contained, for example, in pollen, mold or food, which is responsible for the reaction. This in-depth knowledge allows us to establish a personalized profile for each patient, who can benefit from a targeted and specific treatment.” During Saturday’s meeting, the numerous advantages offered in the clinical field by molecular allergology will be illustrated, as well as its applications for different types of allergies, from respiratory to insect bite allergies.
