NARNI Bloody May Day on the Teverina. A 54-year-old woman originally from and resident in Narni, Luisella Pallozzi, 54, died following a serious road accident that occurred just before 1pm at the intersection between Strada Ombrone and Strada Teverina, in Viterbo. The woman was traveling as a passenger in the back seats of the car, one of her own, a Fiat 500L, driven by her sister and on board which were also the 54-year-old’s two children and another young man. SAccording to an initial reconstruction, Luisella Pallozzi was going to a lunch in the Viterbo area with her family. For reasons yet to be ascertained, the car you were in collided with another car. A very violent impact that caused the car in which the woman was traveling to overturn, causing her to fall into a ditch. In the collision, the fifty-four-year-old was thrown out of the passenger compartment and suffered very serious injuries. The doctors’ attempts to save her were useless. She was transported under code red to the Belcolle hospital in Viterbo, she died shortly afterwards. The woman’s daughter, currently hospitalized in Viterbo, was also seriously injured. The injuries suffered by the other occupants of the vehicle were minor. News that fell on the Narna community, and beyond, like a boulder. The woman in fact worked as a midwife at the Santa Maria hospital in Terni and was well known. Dozens of messages of condolence on social media. Friends, fellow citizens and many women who met her when they gave birth. Meanwhile, the Santa Maria di Terni hospital, in all its components, «expresses profound sorrow for the loss of the employee Luisella, her commitment and dedication have left an indelible mark in our community and in the hearts of anyone who has had the privilege of knowing her. In this moment of pain, we join in condolences with her family, friends and colleagues. Her bright presence will be with us forever. The doctors, midwives, nurses and all the staff of the Mother and Child Department, saddened by her passing, bid farewell to a great professional who gave us her humanity, her respect and her dedication to her work.”
