TRAPANI – The long-awaited change of pace that was expected has arrived, with the start of the operation of Summer 2024, also supported by returns from the Easter holidays and the long weekends of April 25th and May 1st. AtTrapani airport the numbers are rising again: in April more than 110,000 passengers transported and 874 movements made.

The data
Plus 180%, +261% and +281% is the percentage increase in passengers registered in April compared to the previous months of January, February and March. Traffic was slightly down compared to April 2023, with only -9%, already taken into account considering the lower number of flights (-2%) compared to the summer season of the same year.

Not all planned routes have started. Among those already operational are the international ones Riga, Stansted, Manchester, Seville, Malta, Billund, Bratislava, Katowice, Baden-Baden, Dusseldorf, Charleroi and Toulouse. The start of the routes to Porto and Bordeaux is expected in June.

The load factor of flights is also high: 87% for Charleroi, Katowice and Seville; 86% that for Riga and 84% that for Baden-Baden. On domestic routes, the highest load factor is recorded on flights to Treviso (89%), Malpensa (88%) and Turin (87%).
