CATANIA – Yesterday’s May Day was eventful along the Catania ring roadwhere a car accident that has eight vehicles involved and what it has caused at least six injuriesamong which two kids.

The injured were transported to hospitalbut from initial information no one appears to be in serious condition.
The accident caused serious traffic delaysalready congested for the traditional May Day trips, diverting onto alternative routes. Long queues were reported from the Misterbianco junction in the direction of Syracuse. Hundreds of motorists were stuck on the road for hoursbut the situation gradually returned to normal in the evening, after the removal of the vehicles involved.
The traffic police officers carried out reliefs at the accident site for reconstruct the dynamics: Investigations are ongoing.
