The Pet Therapy initiative for the elderly of the Gemona Rsa.
A Pet Therapy meeting dedicated to physical and mental well-being: the elderly of the Rsa “I Tigli” of Gemonamanaged by Sereni Orizzonti, received a visit from ctrained men of the “Imprinta del Nordest” Association. Not just cuddles and lots of smiles: the volunteers have staged a demonstration of searching for missing persons.
“Man’s best friends have offered to the our guests happiness and well-being, stealing a few smiles and increasing the guests’ self-esteem. There Pet Therapy is part of the projects of sensory activity and physical rehabilitation that our residence offers to all elderly people – declared the director of the facility, Cristina Mattiussi –. I sincerely thank the Association for giving our guests this special afternoon.”
The “I Tigli” residence in Gemona can accommodate non-self-sufficient elderly people and is managed by Sereni Orizzonti, one of the first three groups at national level that operates in the construction and management of healthcare residences, with around 80 RSAs and more than 5 thousand beds in Italy and abroad.
