Totò Riolo’s smile on the top step of the Monte Erice podium is the emblem of his unchanged passion for motorsport and for this race where he raced for the first time in 1988. On the 70th anniversary of the race which represented the 2 round of the Italian Uphill Speed Championship for Historic Cars, the driver from Cerda had no rivals in the 4th group, but he wanted to honor the race by trying to improve the times of the previous year and at the same time continue the development of the PCR A6 BMW, the car which, thanks to magnificent team work, is giving great satisfaction.
The 2024 season is going very well with 2 clear successes in the first CIVSA races – declared Totò – we continue to make progress thanks to the attention that the Milanese factory Kaa Racing pays to this car that Paco74 with regards to the chassis and Balletti Motorsport for the engine part they set up great. Here in Erice, where I have achieved my third consecutive success, I also really enjoyed improving my performances and lowering the times by a few seconds. In practice we had some problems with the gearbox, but in race 1 we had a restart and then the cap which fortunately blew at the end of the climb and the loss of fluid, problems which didn’t worry us too much.
It was a real celebration and above all an opportunity for visibility for our corporate partners who support us, the Sienese Pilots Team which is at the center of this project. With the colors of the Targa Racing Club and Cst Sport it made its debut on Osella Pa 21 jrb in the Italian Superclimb Championship at the 66th Monte Erice Antonio Rotolo from Termini Imerese from Palermo achieved his personal goal: “For me it was important from the start to collect points, managing the car as best as possible.
