May 1st marks the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna, a legendary driver deeply loved by motoring enthusiasts. Few people know that at the beginning of the Eighties, when very young, Senna came to Mondovì to try his hand at the Borgo Aragno karting track, the “Filippi” track which is still active today and hosts training sessions. Brazilian, Formula 1 world champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991. Nicknamed Magic, who died at the age of 34, he is considered one of the greatest drivers of all time, as well as one of the most representative and iconic figures of Formula 1 and motor racing . He died following injuries sustained in an accident which occurred at the Tamburello curve of the Imola circuit, during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. The cursed Grand Prix, always in everyone’s memory for the death of the legend Ayrton Senna, who will be remembered with a series of celebrations at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome.

The National Automobile Museum is dedicating a large exhibition to the Brazilian driver which aims to delve into two aspects of his life: the sporting history of the champion and the private history of a man who won the hearts of millions of fans all over the world.
