Italian Rugby Federation together with “Promotion and Participation” launches “Un giorno da rugbysta”, the initiative to involve more and more fans at a youth level.
In the spring, boys and girls who want to try playing with the oval ball will be welcomed by local clubs.
In the Marche there are 31 clubs.
The smart membership, which also includes insurance coverage, allows possible future rugby players to play immediately and, at the same time, for families to experience the atmosphere within the clubs, with the traditional convivial moment of the third half .

The movement is continually growing, with particularly interesting data relating to women’s rugby, and the results of the major national teams, successful and convincing, are certainly intriguing many people.
Also supporting the campaign are the faces and words of the Azzurre and Azzurri, who are now increasingly idols even of the very young thanks to their international performances: in fact, captain Michele Lamaro, the best player of the Six Nations 2024, Tommaso Menoncello, the author of the best try of the 2024 Six Nations Lorenzo Pani and one of the young forwards who emerged most forcefully, prop Danilo Fischetti. For the Women’s National Team the messages are those of number 8 and captain Elisa Giordano and second row Giordana Duca, both pillars of the team.
The categories most directly involved in the campaign are Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16, and where the Club provides it, also the one defined as “First Destinations” for girls and boys in nursery schools.

The invitation is to participate, to learn, to “taste” a day as a rugby player. The Federation’s objective is to involve an ever-wider audience, and certainly nothing would be possible without the daily commitment of our Clubs and the hundreds of volunteers, managers and trainers/coaches, who truly give their soul for the our sport and to make it increasingly open to everyone, including girls and boys with both physical and intellectual disabilities, another of the Federation’s most heartfelt projects”.
