On April 30th at 10 am, in the auditorium of the IC Mercogliano, the journalist Gianluca Amatucci retraced the history of migrations in the name of humanity.
The DS Prof. A. Tarantino greeted the guests present, Dr. Barbara Evangelista of the Municipality of Mercogliano, delegate for education, thanking her for her presence and for the attention of the Administration to school life.
He also reminded the third and second year students that emigration affects society in an exponential and transversal way, so no one must forget that need, wars, hunger, upset and influence the lives of people who are forced to emigrate and we Italians have experienced it firsthand.
A choir directed by prof. Anna Maria Bianchino accompanied the journalist’s monologue, involving and exciting the audience, interpreting historical songs such as “O surdato nnamurato” and “Volare”.
The meeting represented a beautiful and precious opportunity for reflections and comparisons.
We thank the aforementioned prof. Annamaria Bianchino, prof. Francesco Santoli and all his colleagues who raised awareness among the students.
Special thanks to the technical assistants: Mr Patrizia Spagnuolo and Dr. Antonio Fasolino.
