The first exploratory meeting for the construction of the Local Development Strategy of the GAL Pesca (GALP) starts from Lesina
The series of public meetings with the coastal communities of the Gargano begins from Lesina, focused on the construction and definition of a Local Development Strategy (SLS) that embraces the sectors of fishing, aquaculture, biodiversity, tourism and culture .
The territorial exploration in the north of Puglia, entrusted to AGCI Puglia, an association that represents, assists and protects cooperatives and social enterprises active in the Puglia region, aims to define a local public-private partnership, promoting a participatory and innovative path for the definition of the Local Development Strategy of the Pesca – Gargano Mare GAL, to be submitted to the Puglia Region tender.
This initiative is included in the framework of the National Program of the European Fund for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (PN FEAMPA) 2021/2027.
The event, scheduled in Lesina for May 3, 2024, at 5.30 pm at the Multipurpose Visitor Center, and entitled “Small-scale artisanal coastal fishing and sustainable management in coastal marine environments (mitigation and adaptation to climate change)”will be dedicated to the promotion and valorisation of small-scale artisanal coastal fishing, as well as the sustainable management of marine-coastal environments, with particular attention to mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
