SAN DONA’ DI PIAVE – Terrible day on the cursed stretch of the A4 today 30 April 2024. Seven accidents in just a few hours. The sixth road accident occurred around 6pm, in the overtaking lane: a bus with 26 people on board hit a heavy vehicle and ended up against the guard rail.
The bus that hit the heavy vehicle at km 428+200 (near the municipality of San Donà) on the A4 motorway towards Trieste was carrying 26 passengers. The toll is 10 injured, all – according to an initial reconstruction – not seriously. At the point where the accident occurred, traffic was diverted along the emergency lane as the bus occupied part of the travel and overtaking lane.
The heavy vehicle has already been removed from the roadway after about an hour. Several fire and medical teams are working on site.
