Aemme Linea Distribuzione will continue to manage gas distribution in Legnano and in the Alto Milanese area

While waiting for the publication of the tenders in the area, lcourtesy of Aemme Linea Distribuzione (ALD), subsidiary of the Amga group whose leader is the Municipality of Legnano, will continue to manage gas distribution on an extended basis in the Municipalities (over 30) in which it is a concessionaire. This is despite the concessions expiring in December 2023, which is why the company has presented this morning, April 30, to the member auditors (represented by the mayor of Legnano, Lorenzo Radice) the final balance of the concession period which runs from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2023.

In these 12 years, despite the crisis in the energy sector with the price of gas going crazy after the war in Ukraine, Aemme Linea Distribuzione has continued to invest in its network, closing the balance sheet positive again this year. Despite the loss of 2% of users in recent years, the subsidiary However, it has carried out the maintenance and technological innovation works envisaged in the development plan: «The company – explained the technical director, Matteo Grasselli – has developed the extension works necessary to guarantee supply to all new users in recently urbanized areas. In 12 years of concession it has made investments of 27.7 million euros, reaching 93% of what was proposed during the presentation of the Plant Development Plan”.

Now the future presents many question marks. In all likelihood, ALD will have to ally itself with larger partners to participate in the tenders, precisely because the market is undergoing great transformation and the large distribution groups are the masters. Even if during the morning the value of a municipal participation and the dialogue with the Municipalities was underlined: «Even if we have no certainties about what will happen with the local tenders – declared Grasselli – we will not limit ourselves to mere ordinary management. However, our goal remains to keep the networks efficient, safe and functioning».
