Region, reporting of compensation for 1,200 companies

3

The documentation useful for reporting compensation to businesses for the damage caused by the bad weather that hit large areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia between 13 July and 6 August last year is published today on the Region’s institutional website. This step follows the phase of submitting applications and the issuing of the decree granting refreshments, which took place at the end of March, with which approximately 1200 beneficiary companies were identified, for a total economic value of over 24.7 million euros.

The councilor for Productive Activities and the councilor for Civil Protection gave the news.

The procedure has been further simplified, as explained by the two representatives of the Regional Council, and the beneficiaries will have until 30 June 2025 to present the documentation relating to the restoration interventions and related expenses. Like the grant application, this procedure will also be managed through the ‘Online Applications’ system. A single report is required for each company, regardless of the number of compensation requests submitted.

The reporting includes the detailed report of the interventions carried out or, in the case of payment of contributions exceeding 10 thousand euros, the sworn appraisal. Special facsimiles have been prepared for both the report and the appraisal, published on the institutional website.

As regards the appraisal, a simplified procedure has been prepared. The information must in fact be presented in a standardized form, more easily verifiable during the preliminary investigation. Furthermore, you are not required to attach expense documentation, which will only need to be kept at the company headquarters.

Since the standard form for the appraisal was prepared on the basis of the one used by the national civil protection department, with the same appraisal it will also be possible to access any further compensation that may be paid by the State.

The measure, as the two councilors recalled, is intended for (non-agricultural) businesses and professionals with active registered and/or operational headquarters in the territory of the 196 municipalities affected in the former provinces of Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine, as identified by the Civil Protection decree of 22 August 2023.

The following expenditure items will be restored with a contribution equal to 20% of the eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of 100,000 euros: structural and functional restoration of the damaged property; restoration of the relevant damaged appurtenances; restoration of damaged areas and funds outside the building; restoration or replacement of damaged or destroyed machinery and equipment; restoration or replacement of damaged or destroyed systems relating to the production cycle; purchase of stocks of damaged or destroyed raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products; restoration or replacement of dining room furnishings and related appliances; restoration or replacement of registered movable assets (vehicles, boats, aircraft).

The material and information for expense reporting are available on the following page of the Region’s website: https://www.regione.fvg.it/rafvg/cms/RAFVG/economia-imprese/industria/FOGLIA250/.
