The Bisonte Firenze is still inserting pieces into the mosaic of the 2024-25 team. Thus, after having finalized the direction, the center and the role of the liberos, now the first name has also arrived in that of the hammers. It is from another talented young player: Emma Cagnin, spiker from Castelfranco Veneto, 22 years old on June 26th, who played in A1 in Casalmaggiore in the season just ended. Despite her age, she already boasts a long experience: after the successes with the youth national teams, including an Under 20 world title and two European titles: one with the Under 16s, the other with the Under 21s where she was also awarded MVP, at just 20 years old he made his debut in the senior national team with which he immediately won gold at the Mediterranean Games. In 2019-20 she was added to the Imoco first team, making her debut in A1, then she decided to move down to A2 with Montecchio, then the following year she returned to A1 with Volley Bergamo 1991 where she remained for two seasons before moving to Casalmaggiore, and now in Florence where he arrives with great enthusiasm and a great desire to grow further. In Il Bisonte you will meet again with Božana Butigan and the athletic trainer Maurizio Negro, who have already crossed paths in the Bergamo experience.

“After three seasons in a row in A1 – she confesses – I think the time has come to find more continuity in the game and this aspect, also combined with the fact that Florence is a magnificent city to live in, led me to choose Il Bisonte who is creating a very interesting and fairly young team that will certainly aim to match the results of recent years and perhaps even improve them. I already know the city and I also have acquaintances in the club who have confirmed to me the familiarity and serenity of the environment: these are aspects. , fundamental for me at this moment.”

Regarding next season, Cagnin already has a clear vision: “I think it will be a good championship, certainly particular and stimulating given the many arrivals who will renew the roster. As far as I’m concerned, the main objective is to find as much space as possible also for to be able to show what I know how to do and which until now I haven’t had the opportunity to fully show: it will take a lot of personality from each of us if we want to assert ourselves and get satisfaction, but I’m sure we will succeed.”
