Morning. The provincial coordination of Foggia, in collaboration with the school garrison of Vieste and the city garrison of Mattinata, is preparing two special meetings which will see the participation of Don Luigi Ciotti, the founder of Libera and the Abele group.
On the morning of April 30th, starting from 9.30 am, Don Luigi will meet with the students of the school composed of the “IPEOA Enrico Mattei”, “IISS Fazzini Giuliani”, “IC Rodari – Alighieri – Spalatro” institutes, at the “Fazzini – Giuliani” Auditorium in Vieste. It will be an opportunity to get to know the reality of young people up close and discuss the importance of everyone’s commitment in building a community that combats the presence of the mafia.
The school directors will participate in the meeting: Professor Damiano Francesco Iocolo, Professor Teresa Cuciniello, Professor Pietro Loconte, and the mayor of Vieste, Doctor Giuseppe Nobiletti. Moderation will be entrusted to Professor Anna Maria Russo, contact person for the Libera school in Vieste.
In the afternoon, Don Luigi will meet and talk with the community of Mattinata. The public meeting will take place at 6.00 pm in the churchyard of the Abbey Church of Mattinata and will represent a significant moment for the entire community. It will be an opportunity to reflect on contemporary challenges and to renew the commitment towards building a more equitable and supportive world for all.
The event will be attended by Michele Bisceglia, mayor of Mattinata and provincial contact for “Public Notice”, Don Luca Santoro, vicar general of the Archdiocese of “Manfredonia – Vieste – S. Giovanni R.”, and Marco Lauriola, contact for the Libera city garrison in Mattinata. Moderation will be handled by Federica Bianchi, Libera’s provincial contact in Foggia.
