We flew to Frankfurt a few weeks ago to see the entire new LG TV range for 2024, also to take a closer look at the new OLED televisions with further increased luminance peak and to LCDs, including the inevitable one proposed by 98 inches:
LG Gamma TV 2024: all cuts and prices
Now LG Electronics announces the availability on the Italian market of the highly anticipated 2024 ranges of OLED and QNED TVs, with price details. On the OLED front, the 2024 range is made up of an evolution of the series evo M4, evo G4, evo C4 and B4on which LG has introduced some technological innovations this year.
LG OLED evo M4
At the top of the range we find the LG OLED M familycharacterized by the fact of proposing Wireless TVwhich only require the power cable, while all the image processing and input electronics are housed in an external box, which sends the video stream to the television wirelessly, automatically bypassing any obstacles.
The signal can travel at 144 Hz, with the exception of the 97-inch model which has a 120 Hz panel. In addition to the gigantic 97″, LG OLED evo M4 it will be offered in 83, 77 and 65 inch cuts. LG OLED TV M4 is characterized by the adoption of an OLED evo panel and the Brightness Booster Max system made available by the OLED evo panel with Brightness Booster Max system, capable of offering up to 70% more brightness than traditional OLED, with moreover, from this year the possibility of reaching 150% more in terms of peak luminance on small areas (equal to 3% of the image).

LG OLED evo G4
Adopt it same panel also the LG OLED evo G4 serieswhich is characterized by a more classic layout (with all the electronics on board), but maintaining the trademark of the ‘Gallery’ family, i.e. the particularly reduced thickness, suitable for those who want to hang the TV on the wall.
A novelty for 2024: in Italy LG OLED evo G4 will arrive in two versions, which will differ only by the presence of either the stand or the wall mounting system that we already know and which allows the TV to be mounted practically flush on the wall, but to be able to move it forward when needed, for example for the various connections.
On both the M4 and G4, the new processor provides new features on the tone mapping front with new options to decide the roll-off point of the HDR highlights based on your preferences and based on the content, with adaptable profiles for 1,000 nit, 4,000 nit and 10,000 nit video streams.

LG OLED evo C4
Naturally, the C series, the bestseller at LG, has also been renewed: it will be offered in sizes from 42 to 83 inches, with 144 Hz panels equipped. In this case on new televisions LG OLED evo C4 we find a renewed α9 Gen processor, capable of pushing the OLED evo panel to 150% more luminance than traditional OLED thanks to Brightness Booster technology (not Max).

LG OLED B4
The accessible, new OLED seemed very interesting to us in person LG OLED B4 which will arrive in Italy in 55, 65 and 77 inch sizes. In some countries the 48-inch B4 will also be imported, but not on our market.
For this series we find a totally renewed processor, which should allow a leap in quality on various fronts, we are talking about the new α8 processor with AI.

Not just OLED, also many QNEDs: LG QNED89, QNED86, QNED87 and QNED80
Not only OLED, LG also wants to push hard on the front of its QNED TVs with diagonals ranging from 43 to 98 inches: we are talking about LCD televisions that combine Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies and which adopt, on the top of the range, Mini LED backlighting. In particular, the QNED 2024 range includes the series QNED89, QNED86, QNED87 and QNED80. In the field of Mini LEDs, rather than on the mere number of light points and control areas, LG focuses above all on the very precise management of gray levels. The Korean giant, in fact, aims not so much to declare thousands of zones, but millions of levels of gray control, stating that it is more important to have more control than simple numbers.
Furthermore, the QNED86 and QNED89 models have a 120Hz panel which, together with the 4 HDMI ports with VRR and FreeSync, makes them particularly suitable for those who want to use them for gaming.

renewed webOS
LG has also worked a lot on the operating system and has optimized webOS in version 2024 in different fields. The Home Page has been improved with a view to having greater visibility of the highlighted recommended contents. Accessibility has been greatly improved, with the possibility of having all the accessibility features and specifications in a single panel, without having to go through the menu item by item, including video, audio and other preferences settings.
Furthermore, this year webOS offers new customization options for a user experience built on your interests: webOS allows you to create up to 10 user profiles on the same TV to adapt the experience to your tastes and preferences through recommendations based on usage history, customization of the Home screen and other settings including image quality presets.
