Through its official channels the Lazio remembers Maurilio Prini, who passed away 15 years ago, on 29 April 2009.

THE MEMORY OF THE CLUB– «Born on 17 August 1932 in Sieci di Pontassieve, in the province of Florence, Maurilio Prini. Having grown up as a football player in the youth teams of the local team, the 1932 class moved to Empoli in the 1950/51 season, the club with which he made his debut and played for two seasons in Serie C. Subsequently, Prini moved to Fiorentina until 1958, the year in which the Tuscan footballer arrived in white and blue.

The striker born in 1932 immediately proved decisive: on 24 September 1958, in fact, in the Italian Cup final played against Fiorentina, Prini scored the ex’s goal in the 30th minute, giving Lazio the first trophy in its history. The winger concluded his adventure in the Biancoceleste with 69 appearances and 7 goals in the Biancoceleste.

Prini died in Florence on 29 April 2009.”
