The accident caused two injuries.
This morning, atintersection between via Torrente and state road 554, a violent crash occurred between a car and a garbage truck, which overturned following the impact. The accident caused serious damage to the car involved, while the driver of the truck suffered less serious injuries. However, the woman driving the car was rushed to hospital under code red.
It was immediate the intervention of the emergency servicesin Selargius, with an ambulance from 118, the carabinieri of Selargius and the Quartu mobile radio unit, and the firefighters, who worked to remove the vehicles from the roadway using a mobile crane.
The accident resulted in the blocking traffic in both directionswith long queues causing inconvenience to motorists in the area affected by the event.
