Two cars were damaged by gunfire in Fontanelle: investigations underway

Two cars were damaged by gunshots fired during the night between Friday and Saturday in the Fontanelle district, in front of some buildings between Viale Sicilia and Via Alessio Di Giovanni. A gunshot hit the windscreen and rear window of the Fiat Stilo owned by a fifty-three-year-old worker, while another bullet damaged the side of the Fiat Seicento belonging to a thirty-four-year-old also from Agrigento.

It cannot be ruled out that the intimidation occurred on the “front” of common crime. The lead considered most reliable would lead one to think of a warning to the owner of the Stilo, but in the absence of certainties, the lead of mistaken identity remains “standing”. This thesis is strengthened by the proximity of the Stilo to other cars parked next to it.

A hole was found on the windshield of the worker’s car, and a scratch with a slight dent was found on the side of the 600. During the inspection, the forensic officers found, recovered and seized the nose of a bullet. The Agrigento Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation file to shed full light on the disturbing affair.
