Accident along the A31, 4 end up in hospital

Serious road accident late yesterday evening, Saturday 27 April, with consequences that could even have been fatal: the Fire Brigade intervened, around 10pm, for the collision which involved 4 cars on the A31 motorway, towards Dueville.

The fire brigade teams from the local Thiene and Schio detachments worked together to make the vehicles safe: a woman, a 13-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy on board an overturned vehicle were rescued by medical personnel. All three, once removed from the wreckage, were transported to hospital for checks: their conditions did not however cause particular concerns.

In a second vehicle involved, however, of the two people on board, one was transported to hospital due to multiple traumas: minor damage for the other cars with only superficial injuries.

Two traffic police patrols were also on site to investigate the accident: findings which will have to shed light on the exact dynamics of the collision. The stretch affected by the accident resulted in traffic being blocked in the direction of Vicenza until after midnight; the Fire Brigade’s intervention and clean-up operations ended at 4 in the morning.
