Great start for the 76th edition of the Casarsa della Delizia Wine Festival, with the long weekend of April 25th which saw numerous visitors. Now we start again for a new weekend in which among the many proposals some insights into the world of wine and food stand out: the conferences on nutrition and well-being and with the Stories of women in agri-food on 27 April: the City of Wine conference with meeting between the reality of Casarsa and that of Sesto al Reghena on the morning of 28 April; the free participation show cooking in which the chefs from lo Ial in Aviano will prepare delicacies with Coop Casarsa products and La Delizia wines on the afternoon of the 28th; the conference on wine and ancient Rome also on the 28th in the afternoon. Furthermore, on April 29th, the Children’s Day will be held in celebration, offered by the Luna Park managers to local students.

On Saturday 27 April the festival will begin at 8am with Avis Autoemoteca, in the garden of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich, via Risorgimento 2, organized by the municipal Avis. Extraordinary opening of the Nico Naldini civic library from 9am to 12pm and from 4pm to 8pm. At 11am in the Council Room of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich, Nourishing Body and Mind – Nutrition, health, well-being. Let’s learn to nourish the body and mind to achieve conscious well-being. The meeting will be moderated by Paola Gottardo Event Specialist of Bacco&Demetra. Presents Maria Teresa Gasparet. In collaboration with the SRLS Nutrition and Prevention Directorate of Pordenone.
At 5pm, Trucca Bimbo with Alexia in Piazza Italia. Ottica Franceschetto offers your children Alexia, the Masterchef make-up artist, who will be able to make their afternoon magical with fantastic superhero, princess or favorite animal make-up. At 5pm, in the Council Room of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich Women’s Stories: four young professionals tell their stories. A meeting in which three young agri-food professionals in a dialogue with Maria Teresa Gasparet Sommelier of Sorsi e Percorsi, will talk to us about the passion that guides them daily in their profession, about their products and table pairings. They are Linda Del Ben – Marketing manager of the family company Del Ben Formaggi and master taster of Onaf (National Organization of Cheese Tasters), Ketty Gregoris – Manager of the Butcher’s shop at Loris di Ligugnana in San Vito al Tagliamento, Sara Della Bruna and Irene Gagliazzo – winemakers from the Cason winery in San Vito al Tagliamento. Sunday 28 April at the Casarsa Wine Festival starts at 10am with the Arts, Flavors, Ancient Crafts and Creativity Market in via G. Pasolini, via Risorgimento, via Valvasone, via Menotti. At 10am and in the afternoon at 3pm, archery demonstration by ASD Arcieri della Fenice FVG in the garden of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich and Spazio per Bambini 4M3 Aps in via Pasolini, decoration of plaster molds which will be given as gifts to the children. Free participation.
At 10.30 in the Council Room of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich, the regional conference Città del Vino. Annual meeting of the Wine Cities of Western Friuli: this year Casarsa della Delizia welcomes Sesto al Reghena. Topics: Educational tourist harvest (Città del Vino FVG – PromoTurismoFVG project), Inter-municipal regulation of rural police (Città del Vino FVG – University of Udine project), Agricultural vehicle washing station: the project of the Municipality of Casarsa and the experience of Ramuscello and San Vito Producers Cellar. Final toast with wines from Casarsa and Sesto al Reghena.
At 11am, funfair and food and wine kiosks open and again at 11am in Amateca, central island in via XXIV Maggio, Training Filari di bubbles, guided tasting of the winners of Filari di Bolle with Mauro Rusalem organized by AIS FVG. At 3pm, performance by the kids of hip hop, modern dance, standard dance, Latin, synchro latin, with the extraordinary participation of Italian standard dance champions organized by Oasi Danze&Fitness.
At 5pm, in the Council Room of Palazzo Burovich de Zmajevich, in Vino Veritas – Wine in Roman Friuli. Speaker Alviano Scarel, organized by the Aquileia Archaeological Group. Roman civilization has been permeated since its origins by the “wine product” which took on different meanings: food, sacred, economic, artistic, poetic and symbolic. Our region also participated with the spread of vine cultivation throughout the territory, where even today we can find evidence of it, such as the two-thousand-year-old tradition of “marrying vines to trees” and the discovery of rustic villas with winemaking and wine amphorae. A wealth of knowledge that belongs to us and which enriches our Friuli.
At 6pm, in the Coop Casarsa covered car park, in via XXIV Maggio 11, the Coop Cooking Chef Experience. A cooking show in which Ambra Decaro and Alberto Bombardella chefs and teachers from the IAL Scuola Alberghiera Aviano will prepare a menu with Coop brand ingredients, paired with La Delizia wines. At the Coop Cooking Chef Experience you will be able to taste: Starter Spring salad with asparagus, mixed salad, semi-dried cherry tomato, Taggiasca olives, quail egg and smoked ricotta on a plate of carasau bread. First course Carnaroli risotto with baby spinach, buffalo stracciatella and strawberries with green pepper. From 4pm to 7pm, many shows with street artists. At 4pm and 6pm in Piazza Cavour Elements – Rakesh Lord of the full Moon. A performance of great concentration, physical, mental and technical skills, which aims to transport the spectator on an exotic journey to discover flow arts, fakirism and pyrotechnics. Each instrument or performance recalls the natural elements: earth, air, fire, water, light. At 4.30pm and 6.30pm, La Vedova will be a traveling show through the streets of the centre. Meeting Madame Miseria, Turo’s widow, is a bit like playing chess with destiny: she sometimes has a surprise in store for you,
maybe a racing heart, and others… it sticks its tongue out at you!
At 5pm and 7pm in Piazza Cavour, Off Pista, a comedy show where improvisation reigns supreme and juggling and gags are presented with the mastery and lightness of this elderly “one man show”. Numbers with Chinese dishes, the mini-bike, the flaming torches, the rola bola, the clubs, the diabolo, ball-spinning and much more.
